Currently we are searching for a Junior Accountant for Johannesburg, South Africa.

Responsibilities of this Post:

1. Bank processing and reconciliations.
2. Processing of all supplier invoices and reconciliation of all supplier accounts, all suppliers due for payment to be loaded to the payment list.
3. Preparing monthly invoices, cashbooks, and reconciliations.
4. General ledger reconciliations.
5. Reconciliation of all debtor’s accounts, follow up with customers for payment advise and dates of payment.
6. Processing and reconciling of petty cash and cash control accounts.
7. VAT submissions and reconciliation.
8. Keeping of a fixed asset register, correct accounting treatment on disposal of assets.

Requirements of this Post:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
2. One to three years experience in the Accounting field.
3. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels including non-finance members of staff.
4. Commercial awareness, with an interest in business and an understanding of how an organisation.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. A high level of numeracy.
