Currently we are searching for a Procurement Officer for Durban, South Africa.

Responsibilities of this Post:

  1. Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
  2. Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers.
  4. Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  5. Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  6. Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
  7. Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
  8. Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development.
  9. Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality.
  10. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
  11. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
  12. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients

Requirements of this Post:

  1. Degree/diploma in supply chain management preferred
  2. 3-5 YEARS Proven work experience in procurement.
  3. Experienced in sourcing and procurement techniques.
  4. Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
  5. Talent in negotiations and networking.
  6. Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  7. Strong leadership capabilities.
  8. Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
