Currently we are searching for a Procurement Officer for Durban, South Africa.

Responsibilities of this Post:

  1. Perform full procurement function and related administration.
  2. Strategy development and implementation.
  3. Establish new and manage existing supplier relationships.
  4. Maintain stock levels.
  5. Ensure optimal procurement practices to deliver value to the organisation.
  6. Local and international supplier negotiations and contract management.
  7. Ensure compliance with all compliance practices / standards.
  8. Manage daily operations of the Procurement team (2-3 members).
  9. Develop, implement and manage procurement policies and procedures.
  10. Manage international trade and logistics (imports / shipping requirements etc.).

Requirements of this Post:

  1. Related degree in Logistics / Supply Chain essential.
  2. Four years experience in a similar role.
  3. Knowledge of procurement regulations.
  4. Staff supervision experience.
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Proven track record in development of procurement policies, procedures and standards.
  7. Budget management.
